Top 3 Secret Expert Trading Tips

Every Walt Disney World resort offers pin trading stations/locations. Just ask at the front desk or concierge and they can direct you to the resort’s pin board.

1. Visit Disney Pin Traders at Downtown Disney

Disney Pin Traders at Downtown Disney is a small circular pin store that has one of the most interesting trading opportunities. When their pin wall is open, you'll have a chance to check out dozens of pins. The wall is refreshed often, too, so this is a good place to find rare pins. Unfortunately, the pin wall isn’t always open. Ask a Cast Member for information on the next trading time.

2. Research where the best lanyards locations

You’ll find pin lanyards on many of the Cast Members in the parks. Merchandise Cast Members usually have lanyards. Don’t forget Guest Relations. Not only can you find lanyards, they also have boards or books for you to browse. If you happen to spot a manager or coordinator with pins, you’ll definitely want to take a look at those pins.

3. Keep your eyes peeled for exclusive sets

Believe it or not, some traders use exclusive sets either because they have duplicates or by mistake. Either way, this is something you want to keep looking for. Knowing pins and what to look for will help you in this venture. Some pins can only be purchased at special events like Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party and Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party.
