Top 3 Ways to Spot Scrappers and Fakes

When trading or buying Disney pins, it's hard to know what is real and what's not. We've put together a list of the top 3 ways to spot scrappers and fakes so you know how to avoid them.

Tip #1: The color of the pin looks off, it’s probably a fake

This may take time, as you'll need to research the specific pin to discover the original color scheme. Sometimes you'll be able to tell by spotting color discrepancies, as Disney is very particular in their color choices. Take time, review it before jumping to conclusions.

Tip #2: Characters have pupils otherwise it's fake

So this one is pretty easy to spot, if a character doesn't have a pupil on it's eye it's almost a guaranteed fake. It's a small detail that can get overlooked during production.

Tip #3: Real Disney pins are usually metal

If you can bend a pin, it's most likely fake. Scrappers and fakes usually use a cheap quality material when being made, which makes finding them fairly easy.
